Questions
Short answers to the things pilots ask most. If yours isn’t here, email support@moonshotdailygame.com.
01Playing
- When do new missions come out? Two new missions every day at midnight in your local time zone. Everyone in the world gets the same categories on the same date.
- Can I play more than twice a day? The two daily missions are free for everyone. Flight Pass owners can replay either mission as often as they like; extra flights don’t count on the daily board.
- My answer was right but the game didn’t accept it. Every category has a list of accepted answers and spellings, and no list is complete. Unknown answers are logged for review and cost you nothing. Use the “Think we missed a real answer?” box on your report, and we add good ones, usually within a few days.
- What does “most common” mean? The answers people actually give. Each category starts from our research and is then refined by what pilots say each day.
- How are Blue Moon answers picked? By hand, from answers almost nobody gives. They aren’t always the rarest ones on the list: we pick real answers that someone who knows the category well can still think of, so they can be found, not just stumbled on.
- I closed the tab mid-mission. Reopen the game and it picks up where you left off.
- Do wrong guesses cost points? No. Only time.
02Streaks, ships and the passport
- What keeps a streak alive? Flying at least one of the two daily missions. Both missions in one day is a Daily Double, which multiplies your day’s score by 1.5.
- I missed a day. Is my streak gone? You can restore a gap of up to seven days for $1. Flight Pass owners get their first restore free. If you don’t restore, the streak starts again at one, and your best streak is still kept in your past flights.
- How do I get a new ship? Every five days of streak unlocks the next one. The hangar in the menu shows how many days you have left for each.
- What are passport stamps? One for every world your rocket reaches, plus stamps for records like your first Blue Moon or a perfect Ladder. Stamps unlock paints and decals in the paint shop.
03Accounts and devices
- Do I need an account? No. The game keeps your flights on your device. An account (Google or email) is only for keeping the same streak and pass across your phone and computer.
- Why does it ask for my birthday? Accounts, crews, duels and the Flight Pass are for players 13 and older. We only keep the yes-or-no result, on your device.
- I got a new phone. Sign in on the new one and your flights, streak and pass come with you. If you never made an account, the old device still has your history, so sign in there first.
04Flight Pass, leagues and crews
- What’s in the Flight Pass? One-time $5: unlimited flights, crews of up to five friends, 1v1 duels, and no ads, forever. Half of every pass goes to She Code Africa.
- Do my friends need a pass to join my crew? No. One pass per crew. Friends join free with your code.
- What’s the difference between a league and a crew? A league is a free leaderboard: everyone plays their own missions and you compare scores. A crew flies the same special categories together and shares one score.
- I bought a pass and didn’t get a code. Check spam for an email from Moonshot. If it isn’t there, email support with the email you paid with and we’ll send it again.
- Can I gift a pass? Yes, from the menu. You get a code to send to a friend.
05Ads and privacy
- Why are there ads? They pay for the game. Flight Pass owners see none.
- What do you collect? As little as possible: your flights, an anonymous device ID, and an email only if you make an account. We don’t sell any of it. The full list is in the privacy notice.
- Can I delete my data? Yes. Email support from the address on your account and we remove it.
