Moonshot is a free daily word game. We keep what we collect to the minimum the game needs.
What we store
- On your device: your streak, past results, chosen background and a random player ID. This lives in your browser's storage and never leaves it except as described below.
- On our server: when you finish a mission, we save your answers and score with that random player ID and the date. This powers the "how many people said this" tiers and the "you flew farther than X% of pilots" figure. It is not linked to your name, email or location.
- Suggestions: answers you suggest, and answers the game didn't recognize, are saved (without your player ID) so we can add real answers we missed.
What we don't do
- No accounts, names, emails, ads or tracking cookies.
- We don't sell or share data with anyone.
Services we use
The site is hosted by Cloudflare and the game data is stored with Supabase. Like any website, these services see standard technical information (such as your IP address) to deliver the page.
Clearing your data
Clearing this site's data in your browser removes everything stored on your device and gives you a new random player ID.
